The Wehrmacht was fighting not for the fatherland, for Hitler. If they listened to the call of the fatherland, they wouldn't listen to Hitler. He was a Nazi lunatic who came to power in Germany, who wanted to conquer all the world and to exterminate Jews, Serbs, Russians and Gypsies, AND he was an archenemy of Germany. But, the Allies defeated him, and I am thankful to them because of that. DEATH TO FASCISM - FREEDOM TO THE PEOPLE !!!

@vorn29 Hitler was not elected legally. He came to power not after an election but by political machinations and he got the enabling act by force.
