A traditional Bai funeral takes place over 3 days with the final event culminating in a village long march. A feast, and cracking off fireworks is also practiced. Notice that white cloth hats are worn by friends and relatives. Even though the Bai minority has their own practices, wearing white to mourn the dead is also shared by the Han majority. This funeral procession took place in Xizhou village 喜洲 Yunnan Province. The Dali state is predominantly inhabited by the Bai minority. The guy kneeling with the full white cloth outfit is the son of the deceased. The ladies crying with the white cloths over their faces are relatives. The big red thing is the coffin. This all took place outside the Linden Centre 喜林苑 www.lindens.cn
