@MintJellyfish He's trying to make everyone stay at one level and keep them there.
Then, once our economy is weak, that's when the government takes full control. That's my view anyway. I agree with you.

That's right "President" Obama.
You just stick it to those nasty, nasty people making over $250K annually.
They don't deserve squat, do they?
Slap them silly Mr. "12-Stitch". You get those rich people, every one of them.
Oh,
of course continue to give the "bottom" 50% of wage earners, who pay no taxes,
a pass. Free, nada.

@robokc1985 Oh, I know. I have already taken a pay cut last year as did he. He is holding on by his fingernails right now is a LOT of other people (business owners included) are.
-
@MrSteveParr Well then sadly your boss will probably ask you to take a pay cut or lay off some people because i can promise you he will not be the one taking a hit if he wants to stay in business. When it comes down to it its his house payment vs yours which will he choose?
-
@robokc1985 It never quite works that way. Slowly but surely the middle class gets hit and hit again. In France the lowest tax bracket is 35%. If you have a job you pay at least 35%.
-
@robokc1985 That formula doesn’t work all the time as this economy is a different animal. My boss is a subcontractor and he has had to come WAY down on his prices to keep our work from going to Mexico. His profit margin is razor thin and no way to raise prices to make up the difference if his taxes go up. Though I completely agree with you on the effect that higher taxes have on the middle class. My boss is French ad this is how it started over there, “tax the rich.”

@MrSteveParr So i think the real question is not why would my boss give me a raise but how can i ever get ahead when a raise would really just put me back in the same place that i was in a year ago. High taxes only exceed in shrinking the middle class and creating a larger gap between the rich and the poor.
-
@MrSteveParr well i can answer that fairly easily. Your boss Just may give you a raise next year because your boss in the long run does not pay a single cent in taxes. He will charge more for the service that the business provides. So you could get a raise. But it will be like you never got one because everything will be more expensive because other people like your boss are going to do the same thing and charge more for their products and services so you may make more but it wont go as far.

@Bronzecop Thank you. As soon as the dust settles most people will relax and understand. There will always be some who are negative, no matter what happens. We are all in this together. We should try to remember that.
since when is 250k middle class ? guess we are the working lower class poor ??

THE RICH DO NOT PAY TAXES they pass down every cent that they are taxed to the middle and lower class'es raising the TAXES on the rich is just an easy way for the democrats to raise taxes on every single american. Everybody who has studied economics for just one semester can tell you that when your overhead goes up the price of your goods go up taxes are just an overhead to the rich that are passed down to the working class.
