I want to do this but it looks like the most terrifying experience in the fucking world.

Just had this four days ago. How long did you have to wear the goggles at night?

I know it looks bad, but my root canal was scarier to me than this was.

yummy, Is there any pain involved and how long before you could see without discomfort?

@Marineinftry There was some discomfort during the surgery, I wouldn't really call it pain. A lot of pressure when they put the suction device on your eye for the laser to make the incision. Afterwards, on the ride home, my eyes burned like I was cutting onions. It took about three days to really see clearly, although my vision was WAY better than before the surgery before I even left the room. After about two months I stopped seeing halos around lights at night.

@mmarlin163 I've been thinking about having lasik done, my vision isn't too bad, i can see without glasses for the most part, distance gives me some trouble. When i was getting my pilot endorsement i was required to get glasses. still passed the dmv's eye exam at that time. over the years i've become more and more dependent on glasses which sucks. i need to go talk to a doc about it... thanks for the info
