A brief featurette & trailer, I Could Go On Singing. Judy played a highly creative role in this movie, contributing entire scenes written by herself & Dirk Bogarde. In addition to A Star Is Born, this film is from Judy ... her heart is here.
Judy's greatest fear was losing her children. This movie, in many ways, was an expression of that emotion.
Featured interview by Robert Osborne with Charles Busch, actor & playwright.

  • Having seen Judy and talked with her a few times, during the '60s, I can honestly say that this movie is the one to TRULY capture what Judy Garland was like in so many positive ways. Wayne

  • Hello Wayne.

In general, it's taken a long time for people to see the depth of this film. Some have always known ... SMILE.

It is the most complete expression of being Judy, showing us her heart, who she was. A Star Is Born has similar expressions, but in a different way.

The beauty of her soul shines brightly in this movie.

  • I too, like this movie, a glimpse at Judy on film as an Adult ~ I think that in retrospect it is a far more appreciated film than it was in it's Theatrical release - thanks for posting this!

  • I agree. As time has passed, I think an aura of mystique about Judy has arisen ... & this movie - with the fact that it was done later in her life, & the more common knowledge that she played such a vital role in writing it - is lifting the veil a little. It is a wonderful display of her depth.

  • Thanks! It is a great movie. What I really love is the fact that Judy wrote so many of the scenes.

  • Anyone knows where I could watch this??? I really want to!!!!!

  • Judy knew she was dying so it mirrored her life in so many ways. And if you listen close she puts it all out there.rest and relax she says where can I buy them? She says what do I have a terrible disease? She was dying of hepatitis Any Man that she thought was good left her,her drug problem began to effect her mind she felt she let go of all the good things in her life. They say her family loved her then why did they let this happen to her? R.I.P. only one Judy Garland!!

  • @waynegabi That may be, but that's why I DON'T like this film.

Garland isn't acting; she's merely bathing in bathos and the famous hospital scene is so self-conscious I can't even get into it. She LOOKS like she's acting - which, of course, she is. Added to which, the finale is Garland's last - and WORST - moment in film. Awful hair, dress and a bandage on her foot, as she performs the WORST song Arlen/Yarburg ever wrote. Embarrassing.

  • i reall believe that she played herself in this film.

    VIVA JUDY!

  • The most phenomenal entertainer that ever lived! Miss her so much...

  • Could someone help me with a nagging question? I have a 1997 A&E biography on Judy and it does indeed shows clips of "I Could Go On Singing," in widescreen. But the dvd is labeled fullscreen. The dvd was released in 2004. I can't imagine why the dvd is in fullscreen unless someone goofed...could anyone out there offer any answers?

    Many thanks,

    Wayne in Texas.

  • woah! this film looks amazing!
