Olympic 1500m star Asbel Kipruto Kiprop says his pleasure and pride at being awarded the Olympic gold medal retrospectively has been tainted by the circumstances of his victory. Bahrain's Moroccan-born runner Rashid Ramzi was stripped of his gold for doping at the Beijing 2008 Games and his medal awarded to Asbel who finished second.

The IOC should come up with very good testing procedures so that these things never happen again. Marion Jones was stripped off her medals several years later and that should not happen. The true winners should get the opportunity to feel the most amazing moments of their lives and not the doped-up cheats who use performance enhancing drugs.
