It's actually Gene RAMEY.He supposedly has his HAT cut from the same piece of cloth as Pres' hat He used to play with McShann & Bird and got around thru the years. Pres' sound changed after his rather grim experience in the US army after 45'. I always love Pres! Many of those players coming up in this modern period were WITH him too!.He was pointing the way again Just more relaxed sadder maybe? but still swinging & Slower his health was very bad. He died at 49 of Alch and malnutr. in 59' ..
