That's 1 min and 20 sec for my Efratom Rubidium LPRO-101 Atom ref osc. to stabilize. Monitor on my TS 2000x and Spectran software.

  • @HonestJack No this is typical, I believe 3 - 5 mins is normal...there is a lock signal that goes from high to low when the oscillator locks. These oscillators contain a lamp that must heat up and stabilize...the manual in PDF format is available online for more info.

  • Is this a fairly typical stabilization period? I was expecting it to be much more rapid, would a longer timescale indicate the Efratom is beginning to age? If this is the case is it likely to fail? Sorry about all the questions.
