  • Terrific performance - wonderfully dramatized & enhanced by the visuals which -- despite seeming frenetic / 'chaotic' at first -- lend dimension, excitement & flow to the whole experience... Actually; far from being 'pointless', i think the video really highlights the progression of this piece, esp. reintegrating & honouring the composer himself toward the end: nicely done!

  • The confused, pointless, chaotic visuals started to give me a headache and I almost clicked over into something else; but ended up just reading a site in another tab whilst listening to the music.

  • One of the great 20th century concertos! I have a recording of Willi Kappell playing it. What a delightful experience to hear this! Very creative video. Thank you vaimusic!

  • Beautiful rendition and an interesting movie...

    Thank you!

  • Totally agree. As if there weren't enough creativity in the music and the performance to keep the viewer's attention.

  • Bravo!

  • Wonderful music, with a great interpretion. However, I really, really, really dislike the way this was filmed--too many shots, quite a few of which don't even follow, and way too fast for me to comprehend. No wonder people have ADHD these days.

  • right on

  • I bought my first recording of this in 1960 and have never stopped being struck in the heart when hearing it.

  • Excllent musical performance!
