Here is 8 winter white hamster babies. They are about 1 week old.
The mom is Sapphire and dad is Boo. This is their second litter. Their first litter did not make it so they decided to try again. Sapphire is a better mother this time than she was the first time. THANK GOD.
All 8 babies are growing nicely and now growing fuzzy hair and darker pigment. I can see that majority of them are girls, which is good since I plan to keep the girls and sell the boys.
If you live in the bay area, ca I am willing to give away these babies for free. Please let me know :)

  • arent you suppose not to touch the babies for 2 weeks or so?

  • @Risingtide93 if your hamster trusts you, they will not mind.

  • hey like do you leave the male in the tank with the mom and the babies please reply back

  • @FIREMANLBW Well, when i realize the mom is pregnant, then i take the dad out so they dont mate again when she has her babies. but while she is pregnant, they are together. But mom doesnt stay with dad when she has her babies bc of re-mating.

  • Let the mother do her job ! What if she didn't trust your scent and ate her babies ? You didn't know, you just decided to risk it. You call yourself a breeder when you don't even have self control, like a child just can't wait to touch touch touch ! Shame on you !

  • Another thing if she eats the runt thats normal, don't worry though its a 90% chance that she'll eat the runt for protien. So don't worry, but let nature take its course!

  • @kittenkornervideos and other people that think " if you touch the babies the mother will eat them" your wrong, do your research, although you shouldn't touch them because

1.The mother will think your a threat and eat them.

Other reason why mother will neglect them

1.Young mother, and doesn't know how to take care of babies.

2.Will neglect if too scared or too anxious.

I have a litter of 8 pups at home too, I was too paranoid as well but I touched them and the mother didn't eat them.

  • i know its January of 2012 but do you have any left??? its ok if u dont please reply, Swizzley3

  • @RoboHamsterify wait do u have to take out the dad when the mom is pregnant or after she have babies

  • @buizel810

Other things, wheel, chews, hideout, water bottle. You should also do some research.:)

  • @anybody what all do you need to have a hamster? can you list stuff besides like cage and food? do you have to have bedding?

  • Do hamsters HAVE TO MATE to have babbies???? I am dumb... :(

  • Our Syrian hamster gave birth to 17 babies :D It was really cool, we knew she was pregnant but we thought she was going to give birth on the 29th but she gave birth on the 28th. So we kinda just woke up one morning and we had 18 hamsters :p
