I hope Zuffa never buys Bellator.
1: Bellator has very exciting fights.
2: Most of the great fighters can't match the the competition in the UFC yet.
3: It's a great organisation where prospects can develop some good experience and where they can become a better fighter. This organisation makes them ready for the big competition.

Jorge is still a champ with better hands

@krzyxbne as to why he didn't counter that way; Jorge would have only been able to put Imada on his back with a slam. Like, if he held on, he would have been in the perfect position to continue applying the submission. DKC60628 already explained the carotid artery aspect; blocking the airway isn't the only way to make someone pass out. Lack of blood to the brain does the exact same thing. I've been in enough submissions during my personal mma training to know, lol XD

@krzyxbne When the carotid artery is blocked, the blood supply to the brain is cut off, which causes it to shut down (i.e. going unconscious).

@jeffreyjames58 Hi, you seem to know alot.. I on the other hand has no knowledge to Martial Arts but Im curious about 2 things. 1)Why couldnt Jorge countered with a body slam? As in just fall on his back and possibly hut Toby during the impact? 2) Can you explain to me how this move will knock a person unconscious? I dont see how it cuts of air supply or what so ever. The leg was not around his neck which leads me to believe he actually can breathe
Thank Jesus there are so many MMA experts on here to analyze and explain this to me.

He's not tapping before he goes unconscious, everyone. He's grabbing is arm to help push his shoulder away from his own carotid. It's a basic escape to buy you some time with any type of triangle. However, he's bending at the waist to not fall backward so he's just making it tighter. In his defense, I'm sure he's never even imagined practicing an escape to this. It is a very impractical/sick move. Lol @ the blue belts being judgmental here in the comments.
