  • Where can I find a spherical mold like you used to freeze the spheres?

  • @PKonStark Our best advice would be that you try Amazon. Try and type this in the search bar : ' Silicone Small Half Sphere Mold '.

  • @MoleculeRflavors Would this one work? I noticed that your molds have 24 cavities, but I could only find one with 15. The cup size is 1.6-Inch diameter by 0.8-Inch if that helps. "Freshware 15-Cavity Mini Half Sphere Silicone Mold and Baking Pan" I can't link to it, but that's the name.

    Thanks! I love this channel.

  • @PKonStark Of course I can not give you an absolute guarantee, but I'm pretty sure this mold would do it! :)

  • is there a way to preserve these after making...say, make a day or two ahead?

  • @kittykatkevin We strongly advise that you serve all molecular dishes and cocktails as soon as they are ready for an optimal texture and experience. Plus, isn't it part of the fun to prepare them in front of your guests? :)

  • How many grams is in a 'sachet' of alginate?

  • Hmmm....this is really kinda genius.

  • How long does the alginate bath last? I mean could you pout it in the fridge and use it the day after or is it a 1 batch use type of affair?

  • Is the carbonation retained throughout the process?

  • Absolutely stunning. Can't wait to try this. Thank you.

  • Very nice!

  • @candymaze stfu noob

  • @MoleculeRflavors u guys are actually awesome and this is a completely new thing and its a fantastic idea. keep it up :D

  • @IAmTolsonAiles Considering sodium alginate is nothing more than a sodium salt in an alginic acid I would assume it could be used several times without chemically breaking down. Plus since its a bath, it could probably be able to be sealed and stored for a few days or possibly even a week if kept chilled. Still, I'm no scientist and hardly qualified to be giving you advice, so what I would actually recommend is for you to buy their product and test out this theory for yourself. Have fun ;D

  • bunch of food additives , yuck!
