Upgrading Memory on a Mac Mini (RAM)

Why does Apple make it so damned difficult to do [what should be] simple things like change RAM in their consumer machines. Do they think we're fucking idiots who can't handle simple tasks, or have they got some sort of cartel going with repair centres?

Apple could quite easily make RAM accessible to the end user but they CHOOSE not to.

I still love my Macs, but Apple's attitude to their customers pushes me further and further away...
