This is my Bolex camera that I have for sale. The speed of the camera was set at 50 frames.
Was asking $895 but as of 9/01/11, I'm asking $795. I live in S. Cal. If you want to test it let me know.

  • @ChesneyDigital So true. People probably do those to just to test out their cameras, but they shouldn't really upload them in most cases. When I do get my Bolex, if I can't do audio right away, I'll at least make it about something. Hell of a lot more interesting than just filming random trees lol

  • @master777999 I'm so annoyed with the amount of short films on Youtube that have no dialogue or indoor shots. It's like "yeah I wanna do film, but only what's easy; no indoor lighting or sound recording. I'll just take some quick naturally lit outdoor shots and throw some music behind it and bam, there's my 'film'. You know what, that's freakin' lazy as hell. I really enjoy watching short films but just wish more of em bothered to incorporate actual stories.

  • @ChesneyDigital I'm not sure. Probably not initially, but I'm sure I'd like to eventually.

  • @master777999 Sounds great. So are you planning to have spoken dialogue in your film? Just wondering if you had any ideas on making a sound barney for the H16.

  • @ChesneyDigital Sweet! I'm going to get one as soon as I can. I'm entirely devoted to film (with stills and movies) and I can't wait to use the H16 for some shorts and stuff like that.

  • @master777999 They sure do, take look around online. I tried pasting a link here but it's not allowing me to post my comment. The Bolex is the nicest camera I've ever owned and I got real lucky to find this one from a guy who was selling it to go digital.

  • @ChesneyDigital Huh, I didn't know they had magazines. And how's that Bolex worked out for you so far?

  • @master777999 When I wrote this comment a year ago, I was looking to buy a Bolex H16. I did end up getting one and it even came with a bunch of accessories including TWO 400 foot magazines that attach to the top of the camera beneath a plastic cover. The magazines can be bought separately online but if I remember correctly the ones I saw were going for around $250.

  • @ChesneyDigital These cameras can hold 100ft. spools of 16mm film. And you're referring to a magazine; I don't believe Bolex's have any compatible magazines.
