BNSF Railway Red Rock Subdivision, Milepost 399.7
Norman, OK
I went over to the Rock Creek Rd crossing on the north side of Norman and caught three trains with some good power lashups, particularly on the first and third trains.
Train 1: Northbound Grain
Time: 11:09 AM CDT
Location: Norman, OK @ Rock Creek Rd
Motive Power: BNSF 701 (C44-9W) & BNSF 4802 (C44-9W)
Comments: Warbonnet leader with "Santa Fe" nose herald and "BNSF" side lettering.
Train 2: Northbound Tankers
Time: 12:11 PM CDT
Location: Norman, OK @ Rock Creek Rd
Motive Power: BNSF 4868 (C44-9W), BNSF 5099 (C44-9W) & BNSF 5214 (C44-9W)
Comments: Standard HII Pumpkin lashup.
Train 3: Southbound Manifest
Time: 2:30 PM CDT
Location: Norman, OK @ Rock Creek Rd
Motive Power: BNSF 4349 (C44-9W), UP 4635 (SD70M) & BNSF 8151 (ex-BN SD60M)
Comments: Former Burlington Northern SD60M "Green Giant" third-in-tow. Too bad it wasn't leading, but it's always good to see a few of these are still roaming the rails for now at least. Also a little unusual to see Uncle Pete in the middle of a BNSF consist.
Nice Work James!
