This 1980 film was created as part of Washington State University's Women in Science series. It consists of an interview with Astronaut Sally Ride conducted by WSU's Dr. Sue Ritter, talking about Ride's experiences in classrooms as well as her physical training with NASA as a member of the Astronaut Training Program. In 1983, Sally Ride would become the first American woman in space.

This was digitized from a 3/4" U-matic film held by Washington State University's Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC). The film is held under call number 3/4" 10039.
