I loved my iwalk. I used it for almost a year. I have nerve damage in my left foot. The nice thing about it is how easy I could get around. But when I stopped using the brace and then went back to using it again later... I found that it really screws up my lower back because the brace makes you walk with a limp.

Just got my iWalkFree yesterday, and I'm not sure... Still feels pretty wobbly

He's not hitting any backhands. He switches the racket to hit forehands on either side. I wonder if he did that before he injured his foot.

Yes, my backhand is fairly weak so I learned to switch hit before the injury. Actually, I prefer to play with two rackets (one in each hand), but currently only own one.

I'm considering buying that brace for my fractured foot. I have to keep my weight off it for at least 3 months. I thought tennis would be out of the question until I saw your video. Would you recommend the iWalkFree? Any downside to it?

Absolutely I'd recommend it. Considering the alternative (standard crutches), it has no downsides. It may take a bit to get used to, but this video was shot 3 days after getting mine, so you'll be surprised at how quickly you adapt. Search for one on eBay. I got mine for $322 shipped.
I was in your shoes, 3 months no weight. I just got the cast off after 2 months and I can now put 50% weight. I still use the iWalkFree half the time since I can't carry things in my hands with crutches.

Brian, you totally suck. I SO could've taken you.
:-p
Seriously, though, nice job. (& pretty daring move, making that approach shot...) :-)

Yeah, I think my Grandmother could've beaten me. But hey, I've only had the peg leg since Monday so I'll get faster.
One thing I noticed is it's really hard to generate power without a solid foundation (and full hip rotation).
I might have a better shot at doubles since I wouldn't have to cover the entire court.
Peace.
