Thanks for uploading, never seen it before. As the bumper sticker on my old Plymouth read, "Rockpile Rules"

@RManFlint Couldn't agree more! Billy was very underrated, what a nice clean ringing sound he has in this song. Also, Terry Williams...WOW! He's all over the drum kit on this one. I wish they showed more of him in this song.

It's good to see the camera giving some attention to Billy Bremner for a change.
A magnificent performance from the best band ever.

@highschoolmusical841 My comment was in response to the comment regarding the great musical acts that apopeared on the short lived ABC SNL-ripoff "Fridays". Nothing to do with Nick or Dave...it was just some love for Joe & Mick- still to this day, the only band that matters....

@RManFlint Oh man! Billy Bremner - where do I start? A fellow Scot, mega guitarist, also a member of Lulu and the Luvvers, Chirsty McColls backing group, and Swedish group The Refreshments. I love his album "Bash" - but the thing about Rockpile is that they were not only super individuals, they gelled as a band in a unique way. Terry Williams - haven't forgotten you! A MAJOR part of Rockpile!

@cckeach7 Don't forget the Clash jamming 2 songs into each 3 minute set! London Calling album supported at breakneck pace...
-
Everyone knows Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe, but how 'bout some love for Billy Bremner.

Saw this when it first aired, These guys rock my sox! ROCKPILE, A PILE OF ROCK!
-
He actually looked a bit like Paul McCartney back then. All that's missing is the Hoffman/Beatle bass!
-
Is this the version played in the "Bad Teacher" intro? Or did they make a cover for that?
He's singing and chewing gum AND playing bass. First time I saw him he was also smoking a cigarette AND drinking from a beer bottle, while playing bass and singing. Not fair, is it - too much talent!

Great band, and all of the band members have faired well since then. This must have been near the time of John Lennons death, I remember well December of '80. Rockpile was finding some of its best sounds signifying the start of a different generation coinciding with the end of a great person from the best band ever and, then-ten years removed, the best musical era ever.
