Believe it or not! But AMEN is short for Amen-Re pronounced AMEN-Ra. AMEN-Re back in the day in Ancient Kemet (Ancient Egypt) around 1400 BC, Pharaoh AkhenATEN formally known as AMENhotep IV ordered that his kingdom to worship the SUN he called ATEN. Prior to AkhenATEN calling the SUN ATEN, it was known as AMEN (AMUN, AMON) because they understood then that the giver of ALL life is the SUN. It was Constantine in 4th c. changed the SUN concept into SON and give it a human identity!!
