TB said in an audio blog that the developers of this game (an indie dev from India) emailed him genuinely thanking him for the publicity. He said it made him feel really guilty, but it made him realize that he always needs to be brutally honest.

@omataqo123 An honest critique even if it is harsh is 1 million times more useful than just commenting on the good. It points out the bad points which you can compare to other games of the genre, and can help you decide if you want to buy a game or not (rather than buy it and find out about the bad things yourself, making an unsatisfied customer) and a critical eye can help save games and game companies since the developers can take the critique and use it to better their product.
