Video of plane dangling in air, pilot shows death-defying skills

Now, caught on camera...A pilot struggles to regain control of his aircraft. This footage shot by a plane spotter at an airport in the Moscow region shows a Tupolev-154 appartently going out of control shortly after take off. No passengers were onboard the Ministry of Defense plane at the time. The film released on the Internet has bloggers praising the skills of the pilot as he manages to regain control and land safely. Aviation authorities are investigating the incident.

That was a perpetually almost spin and I have no idea how in the hell he was able to fight it, especially in a Tupolev. The controls are not what we are used to here in the US. Durable airfames, good engines if you can afford the maintenance, but still iffy. I am instrument rated here in the US, but have been to Russia many times and flown Tupelov aircraft. They creep me out every time. As for this pilot, he has fortitude I would not have in that situation. Russians have a knack of that.
