Chris Potter Group with Wayne Krantz

I believe this is a tune called "ever present" - an excerpt from what I believe to be the European tour in support of "Underground" featuring a great solo by Wayne Krantz. Heavy, heavy grooves here!

He seems to know his way round the fretboard better than most. The chord work is as interesting as the single notes, Very Interesting.

The first studio recording from Wayne Krant z Keith Carlock and Tim Lefebvre is releasing this August 2009 on Abstract Logix. They are one of the most ripping trios out there

Krantz is too overwhelming; i like this band better with Rogers; it's less monopolized. Krantz just can't stop blowing off, he forces Potter into quick loud aggression, which is cool at times, but I like much better the build up he manages with Rogers. I think it's more musical and makes things more diverse.
