@calden Martin has said that the scenes in the show are fine, that Renly and Loras' relationship just went over the heads of a lot of readers because he didn't make it completely obvious. He was gay, that's just how it is.

@mlleemilee the same or more than you ive read each book twice and the first 3 times NOWHERE in the first book is there any notion of renly being gay infact quite the opposite in his green armour and antler helm "the image of a younger robert" young robert AN ABSOLUTE BEAST. and all the other japes are in the second book there is NO solid proof that renly was ever gay just plenty of Hints he could be NO reason for a full gay scene so early in the first episode, also on a lighter note season 2 :D

@calden Oh, my sweet summer child. What do you know about Renly?

@EnnemiesForever11 Um, every time someone has the chance? It's no secret.

I've just finished the third book, and watched this. My Gods... I can't believe how much has changed since these scenes were current. Half of them dead, others once effete now powerful, and real power in all too different and unexpected hands. The story of Westeros is the most surprising I've ever read.

@theleechlord Legendary. Tears came to my eyes in fit of laughter. XD

@Innerwolfable17 Enjoy :)

@threenumbnuts Seriously? Totally sticking around to find that out! :D
I'm just finishing Storm of Swords, Part 1: Steel and Snow

@Innerwolfable17 The subtext seems to indicate it, as he is much closer to Loras and well... have you read all of the books? Because I don't want to spoil it for you.
Cersei: Bend the knee, my lord. Bend the knee and swear fealty to my son.
Eddard: Winterfell has no king. Winterfell needs no king.

I used to bend my knee to the king.
But then someone shot an arrow...
