lol, there are quite a few mmos on consoles, EQ, PSO, just to name a few well known ones.

Technically they didn't lie. They said that playstation 3 will be the only console where you can play final fantasy XIV. And since the pc is not a console, their announcement remains legit.
But obviously the game is not an exclusive. Like most xbox 360 "exclusives".

i hope ts better than thier last mmo final fantasy 11. i can already tell it has better graphics. but they need to improve overall gameplay for them. i still give square enix a ten out of ten though what game engine are they using for this one?

ps3 and windows
so there might be a 360 version but it willcome out l8r

no i was referring to PS3 because this guy was crying about it being an MMO (which is exclusive to PS3) so i said "we have XIII anyway" meaning that it doesn't matter if it's an MMO, you still have XIII anyway. I phrased it badly that's all

They said that Sony DO NOT have the exclusivity for this game. It will be release WORLDWIDE on both PC and PS3 at the same time but they said that Sony don't have the exclusivity. They might take it to X360 after.

I think a FF that allows for a solo experience, even a -DUO- experience, would be a step up from the current system. Even with the changes made to the current system in FFXI (WotG), soloing is -barely- an option.
FFXi was great, but it was so overcomplicated and poorly managed initially in the first few years that it just kind of soured the whole experience for alot of people.
Maybe you'll be able to jump and swim this time.

They said that FF XIV will have more of "solo gameplay" than FFXI. But it will keep the parties gameplay aspect.
