I was at the Kawasaki dealership and seen this 2008 Custom with extra work done to it.

Tryin to decide whether this or a VTX 1300.

  • I want that fucking bike...by Christmas..mark my words!

  • Check out Britt Motorsports but that 230 isnt practicle at all, it will rub like crazy. I have a 200 on mine and it even rubs with that fender. Plus that place where that bike is located is a joke, a bunch of assholes work there especially the salesman mike. They want $11,000 for that bike and it costs $6700 stock with no extras.

  • @MrDenhugh Do you know anyone who has done the 240 wheel and fender replacement ? I have an 07 Vulcan 900 Custom with a 200 ME880 on the back. Put neary 20,000 miles on it and its time to upgrade. So if you know of anyone who has done it let me know. RLHumphrey09@aol.com

  • i have a 230 on my custom also

  • I looked at the 230 but if you're going for looks just buy the 240 wheel and new fender, plus you have to do some adjustments to fit it. IMHO the 230 is a bit big for the stock rim. I have an Avon 200 and it looks great and still handles fine.

  • I would NOT recommend this tire on the stock rear tire. It balloons out on the edges ALOT! The guys at Britt Motorsports who make that rear fender even said that its dangerous to do. Plus YES it will rub!! I have a 200 on mine and it rubs with that fender when its lowered down.

  • The tire is a Avon AM21 230/60-15 and will mount on the Vulcan's stock rim. The Vulcan has a lot of room under the fender. Google this tire and Vulcan 900 to find outmore. The tire retails at between $220 and $260 us dollars.

  • I say go for it... I like the vulcan better than the VTX, I think they sound better. There is a company out there that sells a kit for the fat rear tire... if it is done right, it shouldn't rub.

  • 230 are u nuts i guess you only like straight line driving, id take you all day in the curves with my 180, i guess its all about the looks because the handling sucks
