http://www.dvestore.com/brands/RODE.html Hear the quality of this lightweight on-camera mic. Use it to record music, dialogue or just ambient sound. We like to use the RODE SVM on a boom pole. The bottom of the SVM is threaded to accept a standard 3/8" pole mount. An accessory called the RODE VC1 extension cable allows you to move the mic closer to the subject. The RODE Stereo Video mic offers outstanding build quality, superb sound and is a great value - especially with the included FREE wind protection http://dvcreators.net/rode-svm-stereo-videomic/

  • Great mic. I use SVM with my Canon 550d (rebel t2i) to record live organ concerts. You can find examples on OrganMSU channel. The only bad thing is that Canon auto preamp on 550d cannot be switched off, and amplifies all noise when there's no signal. Still, the sound quality is great.

  • Can i use it for filmmaking ?????

  • At 4:15, are you speaking with the SVM or the mic on your head?

  • HELP, I am not getting the results I hear in this video. :( I am using it with my Nikon D7000. Input please!

  • LOL i have been on that heli-tour.

  • for the outdoor band shot, was the mic attached to the camera, or was it detached and near the stage?

  • @djspl51bw i must add that im using it for indoor concerts

  • Ive had this mic for a while and use it with my canon hv30.To dater ive not made one satisfactory recording, even though ive used the 10- switch, had acceptable rec levels, and using a new battery in it.I know this mic is capable of really fantastic audio, but never seem to achaive it.Anyone else use the mic with the canon hv30 and had great results? if so id appreciate any setting etc advice.

  • @TechnikWurst

Works great on the T2i (or 5D Mark II) after disabling the AGC by flashing the firmware and booting Magic Lantern of the SD. Because it's a stereo mic, bypassing AGC via the 19KHz/MP3 combination method renders any dual channel pointless.

  • How's the audio for live concert indoors?
