Master Jian Xiao obtained master degrees in MBA and Economics before he was
ordained a Buddhist Monk. He practices Zen Buddhism. He believes by living in
the present moment and practicing total sincerity, one can become a Buddha in
his/her own Pure Land. In America though we are the richest nation on the planet
our degree of happiness is not the highest. Master Xiao can show us how
to defeat day to day depression, anxiety, anger, jealousy and just an ordinary bad mood. He
shows how to ride through lifes obstacles on a deep and abiding source of inner peace.

  • The Art of Happiness is so prevalent now more than ever. The world is clearly stressed, work is harder to find now than it has been in years, and a global economy has put a damper overall.

Master Jian Xiao's story is interesting. I think the message of being in control speaks volumes about how happiness can occur more often than not.

"master of our mind, then we can be the master of our life."

  • Is there anyway you can put subtitles on this video? I can't understand all the things the monk is saying :(

  • at 6:30 more than 2.5 000 years, but its okay, you could argue its an eternal teaching
