  • LOL Devo shake weight awesome

  • It's a shame that Devo lost 20 years to record company lawyers fucking around. Imagine what they would have been making in that time if not for legal weasels. Devo and Kraftwerk would still be going neck-and-neck, trying to out do each other, and we the audience would be the winners from hearing both.

  • @werewoofer I think I understand your point, but I see it differently. Our modern technology can produce slicker results but that doesn't mean we've made any progress as a society. We're now bombarded with more advertising then ever before (note the beer commercial that came on before the video?) This is exactly what Devo is making fun of with this video and I think it's very relevant to our modern age. We're becoming more foolish and self-destructive as a society.

  • @sydbarrett5 You clearly don't understand their message of "de-evolotion".

  • @werewoofer It could be argued that it wouldn't be an effective satire of our modern society if it were minimal lo-fi.

  • they are fuckin gods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Devo !

  • WTF, that's some strange shit croooow lolol :o)

  • RON PAUL 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This video is trying to be too hip for its own good. Too clean and sparkly to be associated with the concept of "de-evolotion". Devo should be artistically minimal lo-fi across the board.

  • こういう、かっこいいおっさんになりたいよー!

  • @zxcv1234vcxz Well, Kraftwerk didn't release an album for 17 years themselves.

It wasn't just legal wrangling that was stopping Devo. Their later albums were not well received (I personally like them) and they even had to cancel the "Smoothnoodlemaps" tour due to low ticket sales. Then they all became busy with other careers. I think they chose an ideal time to release a new album, since so much of their sound and influence is apparent in the modern indie and alternative scene.
