Nice video.Few points only.The water in the beginning can be boiled,it actually doesnt matter and probably even its better to boil it,as soon as a kind of pateaurization is happening from all the other bacterias present in it.Second it can be done from any herbal teas,not only from black and green.And concerning the sugar-well I think nowadays its not so difficult to substitute the white with brown sugar or why not even honey.With the honey you have an additional enzymatic and sterilazing effect

you make this seem so easy but so far i've been a bit scared to make my own fermented drinks and food - im worried i might poison myself or something. is it easy to mess up?

The Kombucha mother isnt a real mushroom. Its a scoby (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) great video though!!

Great video...Mahalo nui loa for the tip. I started drinking Kombucha and it gives me a natural up instead of caffeine. So, now I can save the $5.00 and use it to purchase the glass jars [beer (green bottles)] so I have them here. LOL
