nightwalker - I bought the car in a state that most first gens can be found in - with a dead motor. The rotary in my car, like so many others, did not last past 70 k miles, so it was pulled in favor of a setup I was confident in working on. I tore it apart and rebuilt it so many times because changes and upgrades were made, over and over again. It amazes me how loyal rotary guys are, getting angry at a stranger for doing a swap - Its not like I painted swastikas on it, I put a v8 in it. Grow up.

Ugh. Props for the engineering and hard work that went into this car but it's sad to see the rotary come out of it. You took what made this car special and ripped it out in favor of something average and ordinary.

Why would you say what song it is and have a playlist for richard cheese and then block the fking audio WMG is RUINING our freedoms. How can they take off a video for using their song and showing more people it and do they own the sound of the rx7? No they should have to take the time to carefully take the music out of te video and leave the original sound.

v8 in a rx7,failure,rotories are still a small motor and is the fastest 1/4 imports drag cars,a lot of people dont know how to tune them,and build them .rotor all the way

smh...it just doesnt look right, mazda rx7 is supose to equal rotor not v8

v8's are tough i can say but rotors are just plain amazing those engines are very small and are doing low 6 seconds at the track very impressive

but i have respect for this engine swap

however i grew up with v8's..........

if i won the lottery id have one of each a ...single turbo 3 rotor...and a twin turbo dodge v8 (love dem dodges)......so everyone needs to quit hating cuz ppl have their own preferences.....
