Shot and edited by Ben Thompson, this is a student-made documentary completed in 2007 @ Fanshawe College in London ON.

We talk to Pete Young, owner of the Organic Traveler based in London ON. He explains the qualities of "soft" and "hard glass", and his friend Dave Jamieson fires up the torch and demonstrates the process to blowing a fine quality glass pipe.

  • hey this is me doing the glass...obviously i am not trying to make anything fancy for the short video. either way i'm retired now so it doesn't really matter haha

thanks for putting this up its awesome to see!

  • @djam79 Dave man wtf is up?? Pretty sure I returned to the store, dvd copy of this in hand for you guys; I forget who I gave it to but it wasn't you or Pete. This pipe worked magnificently, the colours it contained were earthy and organic. It was a pleasure to use, and I loved it right up until it was lost last Christmas in a drunken rage. :( Merry Christmas man, and thanks again for that filming opportunity!! Because of you and Pete, I'll be taking up glassblowing as a hobby in the future!

  • lol taking home mades to the next level... "yo i got this homemade pipe I made" ... "bro you bought that from a headshop it's glass" ..... "no bro I made it"

  • First off, props for your great video editing. Still....Dude, was this filmed in like 1999? All pipes shown are behind the times and some in the shop looked chinese. Your video skills should be matched with a better scientific or heady glassblower.

  • Fuck YEA Fanshawe, thats where I go! Fuckin love every minute at FUNshawe
