Elephant toothpaste explosive hot foam experiment

This is what happens when hydrogen peroxide suddenly decomposes into water and oxygen in the presence of concentrated detergent. A neat science trick! Elephant toothpaste

Instructions(Qualified persons only. I am not responsible for any mishaps you may have doing this experiment).

Add 80mL of hydrogen peroxide (120vol) to a graduated cylinder.
Add 5mL of concentrate detergent to peroxide. Swirl to mix, do not shake. Avoid bubbles that will prevent the catalyst from reaching the solution.
Add half a teaspoon of Potassium dichromate(nasty) or a more friendly catalyst such as potassium permanganate.
Watch and be amazed.

@Huntercp500 It's simply soapy/watery foam. The problem is what catalyst you use. If you use dichromates you don't want to touch it, permanganates not a problem.
