Peter Seller's Best Screen Performance PERIOD! This movie is so clever, and so full of hidden messages and themes that you have to pay attention very carefuly while watching it. Just watching this last scene is loaded with hidden meaning and messages that I have learned to decode over the years of watchign this fim over and over again. The end shot....represents Innocence. The character simply has no knowledge that you can't walk on water...so he walks on it. Brilliant!
