@warmsignal Yeah, we used to have a Treasure Island, too. Different Than the Penny's stores however.

@magicmaker15 Actually I just read about that store, it was the first chain to be both department store and grocery store in one, they were actually really big stores, on the east coast they were called "Treasure Island".

That's cool! My childhood fan was a light blue Kmart Lakewood P-23. Basically the same fan but without the push buttons, and it had the rotary style speed selector. I am still on the lookout for one of these in good or mint condition. I have the advantage of working at the Salvation Army so eventually I see almost everything come through there. I know it will show up some day. : )

I grew up right off of Carson St. and Clark Ave. In Jr. High (Bancroft Jr. High), my friend and I used to either ride our bikes or skateboard down to the Treasury back in the late 70's. My family had a fan just like this, in fact my mom still uses it. Brings back memories . . . . .

its funny you should ask, its running right now to cool our bedroom off. its a daily runner and it works like a dream. there is a slight rattle coming from the grille when its in "high" but its probably just a loose screw. i will fix it one of these days.
Where did you find this one at?

Thanks! This is definitely one of the jewels of my fan collection. My guess is they did not make too many of these since I don't see any others on the net.
