Saw the new MG at the MG event at Brighton last week, OK , could be anything, and having some good starting points in the rendering shown here, but if the trim above both front door windows was anything to go by, there is still need to run a few more pre sale models down the line.
While I am sad about Rover's demise (being British), and like the character, engines, handling and style of the cars, by 2005:
--All models were seriously outdated, facelifted models, e.g. Rover 25 / 45 were basically the mid-90's 200 / 400 models, MG TF was a 10-year-old facelift, even the BMW-designed Rover 75 was 7 years old
--Numerous quality / reliability problems, esp. electrics, head gaskets, trim and transmission
what. isn't rover chinese, thats uncool in my book.
