Tinsman 4 Rudy Giuliani in Iowa

Maggie Tinsman is a pro-choice former state senator.

She's also one of four state co-chairs of Rudy Giuliani's Iowa campaign.

She said that it wasn't just his "phenomenal" response to 9/11 that attracted her to Giuliani. Like her, he's pro-choice, but "against abortion." According to Tinsman, Giuliani "doesn't think the government should be involved with people's medical, personal, and religious decisions."

Tinsman, known as a political centrist herself, says the former mayor is "much more middle of the road than people have made him out to be."

Tinsman also wants a "winner," and says Giuliani is the "only candidate that can win."

She was in Iowa City last week giving a talk on "Politics: Why Your Voice Matters" at an event sponsored by the University of Iowa Women's Resource and Action Center. She told the Iowa Independent she wanted to encourage more women to get involved in politics.

Il Duce has no appreciation for our civil liberties. This egomaniac is thrying to ride the misfortune of fellow New Yorkers to the Whitehouse. His own police and firemen despise him as do I. At least as dangerous as GB II, he will not win one state if nominated. ONLY Ron Paul who has been consistent on the war and our foreign policy, and who DOES support a strict adherence to our constitution and who DOES respect our rights can possibly win against Hitlery or any other Democrat.

She said she thinks hes the only one who can win so she will vote for "a winner". It's sad but that's how some people vote, based on percieved popularity. Ron Paul might not be popular on TV, but I'm definitely voting for him this year.
