The People of the Crossbones Graveyard

Cross Bones is a disused burial ground in the heart of London, originally established as an unconsecrated graveyard for "single women," a euphemism for prostitutes, known locally as "Winchester Geese". This documentary focuses on the eclectic individuals (spiritualists, sex workers, writers and musicians) who work to keep the memory of the site alive.

As a London cab driver only just noticed this beautiful place this week. Have a burning desire to park the cab up and visit Crossbones, not out of some morbid curiosity for the dead but in my line of work my passengers are either very rich bankers of working class men/women. By far my most interesting conversations are with individuals bloodied by life.
