  • Hi, I'm relatively new in to machine and foundry work and I was wondering if you might be able to cover how you made the cylinder pattern for your "A" frame and popcorn engines. I know you have many great pattern making videos but none of them cover how to make a stem in the pattern that when cast will hold the work in a chuck. Thank you for all your other advice and tips. I have learned more here than anywhere else.

  • You sir, are my new hero. I learn more in a few minutes watching and listening to you than I can learn in months anywhere else. Thank you ever so much for your time, efforts and teaching abilities.

  • not heard from ya 4 a bit bud we want more

  • The best tutorial and training I have ever had on lathe, parts, and methods. Its like covering the century of lathes and milling in weeks. Thanks Pete.

  • Just started playing with my milling attachment that I've had for awhile. I don't think mine was ever used either. Mine is also out of parallel and now I know how to fix it. I'm 68 and just learning. Wish I would have paid attention in high school metal shop. Thanks for your videos. Keep 'em coming.

  • Hi not related to this vidio, but times I get involved with acme. So a customer comes in with

one he broke from a snow blower. Ok I dont stock all tool sizes I grind as needed, I have

an instrument draw no acme gauge. I dont really do ebay but $5.00 for one. Got it just

now guess what a brand new origional package Starrett No 284 with a bonus 3 Starrett

taps. Now thats a miricle. sam

  • If the attachment was bought with the from new you would think that it would have been setup for that one, so buying it used and off another machine I would think that it would be expected that the degree marking would be out. Maybe there was some direction given to original buyers on how to set it up and then mark the line on. I just think it interesting that it would have been 0.005" out of line. I don't know no old enough jsut though it was worth saying.

  • I would think this video series would be preserved on cd's for both education and prosperity.

I hope nothing happens to you tube before I get my lathe and have learned through these video's how to get out of it what it is capable of.

Thanks for taking the time to post these video's. Your passion for machine tools is obvious and comes through loud and clear in your presentation.

  • great videos. thanks for taking the time to create and post up them up.

  • Hello, I can't find any more of your videos pass # 71 or around that I think.

    What is your numbers sequence?

    Thanks again for these videos.
