well, does everyone here enjoy dry paper filtering? because most of the videos i see using the inverted method use a dry filter. that's gross. also, why do it upside down? what is the benefit?
I agree that this is an acceptable way. It's pretty clever, in fact. If crema is the issue, then start with the plunger less "plunged" so you get a longer shot.
This seems like a perfectly acceptable way to do this, but it's not what the instructions say, and it seems like you don't get any nice crema by starting the plunger all the way up

thats it im getting one...I was looking to buy an exoresso coffee pot that sits on the stove..But this is the pinnacle for me... Great vid too

it's a better way to use it: no premature dripping, and it means you can let it sit a little longer if you want.
