That was the most horrible thing to see everyday, i live like a block away from bells and going past it everyday seeing it being torn piece by piece just killed me, but i got a piece of Zingo to keep for a reminder.... now all i see is a stupid ass PARKING LOT!!! how dumb?

I grew up in T-town in the early to mid 70's. I was partially rasied at Bell's. My eldest sister Madeline (then Whitlow) was a seasonal employee for 5 years-1970 to 1975. The Phantasmagoria was THE ride, as was the Himalaya. I loved this place. It will be missed.

Ugh, this just chaps my ass to no end. There was absolutely no reason to let this Tulsa icon go to ruin like this except greed and apathy. The government doesn't care what the people want, they only care about pushing their own agendas.
And now that the deal with Coweta fell through, it doesn't look like there's any chance ir will ever come back.
My childhood memories are being destroyed and there's jack-all I can do about it!
Okay, rant over

@bmmangold i know right?! and they dont even let people park there during the fair time....it so stupid...i dont even know why they did that..and the fair looks really smaller and they dont even use it to put in spare rides or anything........what a bunch of retards

this makes me sad :( i loved bells <3

There wasn't a tornado, earthquake, or bomb that could take this out. Only government could succeed at something so destructive. Bring back Bells, send out the local government!

i remember this park i had my 10th Birthday here. and there

If the b*****ds had to take that wonderful place away, they could have at least taken down that ugly Driller while they were at it . When I heard about the microburst that destroyed the old Ferris wheel, my biggest regret was that it didn't get the Driller instead.

Bell's, KELI, KAKC, Trade Winds Motel, The Camelot, Casa Bonita (I know...it's still there, but not the same). As go the days of my childhood and early adult years, there went the places where my memories were made.

I grew up in Tulsa, and went to Bells and the Golden Driller all the time. I went there last in 2000 with my 2 youngest nieces, now that I know its truly gone, I am glad I had a chance to share it with family as an adult in her 40's. I was sad to hear about the Camelot as well. I lived a block from there in my 20's. So so sad. I will miss those places. I live in michigan now, but Tulsa will always be home to me.

Bell's was a part of the Tulsa I remember from the Seventies. I also miss the old KELi Studios that were there at the fairgrounds.

My dad used to work at KELI.......a million years ago. He still talks about that studio that stood above the crowd out there.
