This story has been blown so far out of proportion by a tiny minority of very noisy blogs and 'tech sites' that it's unreal.

I can replicate this on my SGS. However, in real life I never grip the phone around both of those edges so it's a non-issue (unlike iPhone4 which is a physical short circuit by touching the black band alone).

Also, the bars disappeared but the crossed circle didn't appear so it didn't lose reception. (Much like the iPhone4 doesn't appear to lose reception in videos of its death grip hold).

Apple has admitted its not perfect, no iPhone is perfect, get used to it.

just tried the same with my galaxy s but still had 4 bars. the signal didn't even drop by one bar. my firmware is JPK (froyo)

Danny77uk, what the fuck are you talking about? The reason why Apple's issues are such a big deals is that Apple always intimate that their products are perfect. This antenna problem demostrates it perfectly. Apple was immediately blaming the users and denying the problem. You really seem to believe all the Apple's hype as you regard Apple as the only one making solid products and every other company making mediocre shit. Seriously, get your facts straight and try to think outside the box.
