OSU vs. Oklahoma - November 5, 1988.

Looking back at Barry Sanders' 1988 season with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, as he rewrote the record books on the way to winning the Heisman Trophy. Barry's head coach Pat Jones and teammate Mike Gundy look back at this truly special season, where Sanders established a new standard for tailbacks in a season where he usually played for only 3 quarters.

1988's Bedlam game was one of the most highly anticipated showdowns in the Big Eight Conference that year. Barry Switzer's Oklahoma Sooners came to Stillwater to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the phenomenal Barry Sanders. Despite losing 31-28, the Cowboys held their own in this epic match-up, thanks in large part to the play of eventual Heisman winner, Barry Sanders. Sanders gashed the stout OU defense for 215 yards and two touchdowns that day at Lewis Field.

After the first Saturday in November, Barry's season totals had reached 1,691 yards and 26 touchdowns.
