I haven't made a video in a while, so here ya go! I am trying a new setup for my guitar called top wrapping. Its when you wrap your guitar strings around the tailpiece instead of through it. It makes your guitar strings feel more looser and allows you to put on thicker gauge strings for better tone. Enjoy!

  • also your left hand position need to be better.. and a question.... why you don't use your little finger on the left hand when you make those riffs??? you need to practice boy!!!

  • @arturock1986 Hey man, to me it really doesn't matter how sloppy I play. I appreciate you trying to help but I only play for fun.

  • i love the sunburst on your guitar and great playing!!!

  • @tbone007princess Thank you!

  • Suggestion: Instead of top wrapping the tail piece you can simply raise it. This reduces downward pressure on the bridge saddles and accomplishes the same feat without causing excess forward pull on your tail piece which could cause damage to it. But I like your tone and your playing.

  • you need to lern how to hold your pick... and you will play so much better...

  • I'm not sure about the top wrapping theory. I tried it on en ESp eclipse and it just made the tone flubbier.

I've found that to get the tightest attack/tone, the strings need to be mounted as low down to the body as possible.

  • The real benefit of top wrapping around the tail piece is to allow you to screw the tail piece down fully so the bolt flanges are in direct contact with the body of the guitar. This technique (allegedly) promotes more string vibration into the body of the guitar, hence more sustain and tone. The side benefit is that the feel of the strings changes too. I did this on my last string change and I like it - a lot! btw - Suite Madame Blue. Nice.

  • wow looks like the slash model!
