Joe's P.O.V.
The first thing I noticed when we walked into the room was the bed and how comfortable it looked and there was only one way to test my theory. Devon and I laid down on the bed to find that it was quite comfortable. We started kissing and it turned pretty intense, which led to other things.
"Oh my God, that was amazing," Devon said smiling.
"Yeah it was awesome," I said. A million different emotions were flowing through my body at that moment: happiness, joy, but most of all love for Devon.
"I love you," Devon told me.
"I love you too," I replied as we fell asleep.
The next day we headed over to the Sydney Opera House which was a lot of fun. Most of the time we just hung out at the beach and enjoyed the nice weather. We went snorkeling a few times enjoying the crystal blue water. After snorkeling we decided to kick it up a notch and go scuba diving. After we had all our lessons and stuff we were finally able to go scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef. We were anxiously waiting on the boat until we could get into the water.
"It's okay to be a little nervous since this is your first time," the instructor said.
"I think we're okay," I said.
"Oh, and if you see a shark don't be alarmed," our instructor, Frank, said.
"A shark?" Devon asked nervously.
"Yeah, but there's nothing to worry about. There's this one shark that comes around a lot, he's actually friendly. Weve named him Smiley, so there's nothing to worry about," Frank told us.
"Oh, okay," Devon said not quite convinced and honestly neither was I.
We finally got into the water and there was so many colorful fish, it was like nothing I had ever seen. We were looking around when we saw Smiley swimming towards us in the distance. He never came to close, but after a few minutes it was actually kind of cool swimming with a shark. After a couple of hours we got back onto the boat.
"You were right, Smiley did seem nice," Devon said.
"Oh, um, that wasn't Smiley," Frank said. "I don't know what shark that was."
"Oh, well then," Devon said.
Most of the rest of the trip was just relaxing. We went out to some of the clubs at night, but a lot of nights we just stayed in and enjoyed each other's company.
"I'm not really in the mood to go back home," I said the night before we left.
"I know. I wonder what everyone did while we were gone," Devon said.
"Probably nothing as cool as us," I said laughing.
"Yeah, I don't think they swam with a shark that they thought was friendly, but actually wasn't," Devon laughed.
The next morning we took a taxi to the airport and didn't get lost and boarded our plane. When we crossed the dateline Devon and I got all excited because we just went back in time, but they guy next to us didn't seem to impressed. I'm pretty sure he thought we were crazy, oh well, maybe we are.
Throughout the plane ride home we talked about how amazing Australia was and how we weren't quite ready to go back. We finally arrived in L.A. and after finally getting our luggage, which took forever, we went to go find whoever was picking us up, which turned out to be everyone.
Nick, Kevin, Sam, Sara, Amanda, and Namra were all standing there waiting to hear all about our trip. I knew once we got home Sam, Sara, Namra, and Devon would pull Devon off to the side and Nick and Kevin would pull me into another room and the interrogation would begin. I felt bad for Devon because she had to deal with four people while I only had to deal with Nick and Kevin although that could be worse since they're my brothers. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how this all turns out. I'm really not in the mood to be interrogated right now, I would be quite content with just collapsing on my bed and falling asleep, but I know that's not an option.
comment!!!! what questions will they ask Devon & Joe about their trip? anything embarrassing? btw the whole shark thing actually happened to my parents when they went years ago lol :)
sorry but this is prob the last one until next monday i have a rough draft of a paper due thurs and a bio test fri (ugh!) & then i have skating competition this weekend in Maine (yay nationals!) and i'll get back some time sunday so i may be able to post then but idk, but then it's SPRING BREAK!!!! YAY!!!

haha yeah the whole shark story is actually true from when my parents went to Australia years ago lol & i'm just like i don't care if it's supposed to be friendly i would still be scared lol
