The German Panzerfaust, an early RPG, produced a long stream of fire from the back of it, strong enough harm a man. Many times soldiers who couldn't read the German inscriptions (Vorsicht! Starker Feuerstrachl! - Warning! Strong fire stream!) suffered from severe burns or even were killed when they fired the PzF pressed to their shoulders (like a rifle) or to their chests.

A scene from Tali-Ihantala 1944. In case you're curious this KV-1 is not original, it's a copy on T-55 tank's chassis. According to comments of various users, the soldier with PzF was Swedish, and the other shouted "Hey! Not against your chest!"
