@katemae61 You are so welcome! I'm so glad that this video was helpful for you. :)

@caradactyl4 Just leave a 6-inch tail and start knitting one row with the new yarn! You can weave in the tails at the end. Search my channel for "stripes" and you will see a video on exactly how to do it. :)

WOW! What a fantastic video! I've always had a difficult time visualizing what was meant by switching yarn and carrying it up the sides. This video made it crystal clear for me now. It's also very helpful to know that this technique shouldn't be used for large blocks of color (mentioned in a previous comment). My one question is, is there a maximum number of rows that you'd recommend using this technique for? Thank you SO much!

@TheLoricD hank you so much! You make me so happy! :D
I watched the video again, and it looks like you could do a pretty large block of color of you don't mind the look of the yarn twisted up the sides. The thing is, since the twisting only occurs on one side or the other, the sides won't look the same. It might be worthwhile seeing if you could carry yarn up both sides, just to make the sides look even. Then you could go for quite a while!

Hey :)
I'm making a red and white stripe scarf & i'm making each color about 16 or 32 rows. Well it's it's as wide as my hand
Could I use this technique for this ?
Would it show ?
I'm really picky when it comes to this LOL

@xAshree I don't think this technique would look very good with large blocks of color. If it were me I would cut the yarn each time and just weave in the ends at the end. :)
