In my OPINION, the Japanese audio with subs is far more enjoyable to watch than a version with english-speaking samurais. I live in Poland, and here we are used to subtitles. I just can't enjoy the movie as much if the characters are speaking in "american". It just breaks the mood. And this is not just for Japanese movies: I hate it when movies in english are dubbed in Polish. Original language wins!

I have a friend who is the Nightwalker Shishi-Gami itself. His name is Rony and sometimes he spends the night on caffeine studying .

OK Can I just click on ONE anime related video without somebody telling me about how the english language is evil and how anime should only be watched with the subtitles (as in not watching the anime but reading instead). I mean you gave good reasons but I'm getting a little pissed off at this

I agree. But sometimes, it's done rather well. The German dub is quite good, which is actually surprising, since German dubs generally suck, however, all Miyazaki's I've seen in German were quite well done.

Considering that Miyazaki was 16 when Walt Disney died, I doubt it'd have happened. But even still, I dunno. It might've been interesting.

It'd have been interesting to see what might have happened if Disney and Miyazaki had ever been able to team up.

However, in movies like this you also lose some of the feeling you get when observing the animated scenes. Yo have to be fast on pace an to follow all subtitles and cannot really watch the gestics and mimics of the characters as well as the overall atmosphere. Some japanese animated movies/series only show simple/not so detailed animations and not thought through scenes. There you can neglect the surroundings and focus more on reading. This doesn't go too well for Princess Mononoke.
