@bodiloto Yes I have understood, your ears became 50 years older and I know that degradation of perception to volume is well known as a normal. I am glad my ears are still working.

I have asked you a couple of times about the first class tenors you have heard in the past 30 years with a bigger voice than Araiza's except the ones I mentioned. I am still waiting for your answer. Can you name 20? 10? 5? 3? I am all ears! or do you prefere to ignore this question?

@bodiloto My experience started in the 60s. By the way, I was at the performance shown in this video, January 1988, in Munich (opening of the rebuilt Prinzregenten Theatre) where Aragall also sang next to Araiza, E Lucevan Le Stelle. I could enjoy both voices on the same concert and although I am a big Aragall fan I must tell you Araiza had the big success and his voice was by no means small compared to Aragall’s voice. That was not only my perception but the perception of the audience too.

Pavarotti era bravissimo nel repertorio lirico leggero,ma per me era freddo e molto 'perverso' come attore.

Giacomini come tenore era migliore per me di Pavarotti,Domingo e Carreras.

Atlantov aveva una voce molto più bella di Galousin purtroppo tutti e due cantavano alla russa.

Come attore Atlantov era migliore per me.

A me Galousin non mi piace come canta,la voce è bella purtroppo canta con poco stile e tecnica.

Tenori come Fleta,Marconi,Caruso,De Lucia,Gigli,Pertile,Taccani,Es­calais,Merli,Tamagno,Paoli,Mas­ini etc.non li sentiremo mai più!Questi Signori erano per me VERI TENORI !

Le loro VOCI non esistono più!Se mi chiedi chi mi piace come attore di più Pavarotti o Caruso ti dico subito Caruso!Pavarotti o Masini -e ovvio che preferisco Masini!Pavarotti o Fleta?Naturalmente Fleta.

Credo che hai capito perché la vocetta di Araiza à me non piace.
