My favorite scene. Sean Bean deserved an Oscar for this performance.

Amazing scene. Love when Boromir get's entusiastic. like when he speaks about the white tower.

I just realized, the music at that part is used as the theme for Anduril

@MrTennisfan11 I KNOW! Same here! I've caroused the whole soundtrack countless times looking for it, but alas it's nowhere to be found!

@MrTennisfan11 There's another soundtrack that contains all of the music featured in the theatrical and Extended editions. This melody is on the track titled "Mirror of Galadriel". I think it's even posted here on youtube

He was my favorite! Why did he have to die?
But I don't really like the way they portray Boromir in the movie.
The only thing that was better than the book was his death.
The book was just like "Then Boromir died." Aragorn: "Alas! He's dead." And that was it. Okay not really.. but still

they changed the script at the last minute and only got it to Sean Bean on the day it was being shot. Sean handled it very cleverly—if you look at the movie, you’ll see he occasionally has his head bowed, as if dealing with the emotional weight. In actual fact, the new script page had been taped to his knee! By the time they were done with several takes and a few different camera angles, Sean had the speech down pat, and it was mainly those takes that were used in the final cut.
how come the music starting at 0:50 isn't on the soundtrack?

Sean truly was fantastic as Boromir, and this is a wonderful scene. How come the scenes where you get to see the better side of Boromir - the side more like him in the book - are the extended ones?? lol like the scene in Two Towers, in Osgiliath - best scene with him, I think, and also extended. Sean is just brilliant...
Thanks a lot for this clip, it's impossible to find otherwise!
