A presentation at UT Austin showing electron band analysis and results for all 2D crystal lattices, specifically in the search to find an intrinsic semiconducting 2D lattice. Silicon graphene, 2D hexagonal ice, and all physically possible square, rectangular, and oblique 2D lattices are examined using 2nd nearest neighbor tight binding analysis.
